Conflict Negotiation and Resolution

One of the most common obstacles to negotiated agreement encountered in the business world is conflict. Possible business relationships, existing partnerships, transactions and other situations have all been derailed due to unexpected rises in conflict. Oftentimes, conflict can be traced to simple issues such as misunderstandings and a lack of communication. At Other times, conflict in a negotiation takes root in differing interests and an inability of parties to work together to negotiate a mutually beneficial outcome. Regardless of the situation, the ability to confront conflict and work towards effective resolution is a critical skill. If left “untreated”, conflict can destabilize relationships and turn previously successful initiatives into catastrophes. Our highly interactive Conflict Negotiation and Resolution workshop provides participants with the key skills to manage conflict during negotiations and work closely to reach a highly satisfactory resolution.

Conflict Negotiation and Resolution is designed to avert and resolve conflict-ridden situations that can have a damaging effect on the success of contracts, partnerships, projects, transactions or other business activities. This participatory training workshop centers on the need to develop and strengthen the conflict resolution and negotiation skills of participants via practice of time-tested methodologies and skills. Built upon a foundation of principled negotiations, a theory that seeks to build a “win-win” for all parties, our training program empowers participants with the ability to focus on common interests while protecting relationships. The goal is to build a mutually beneficial outcome. This interactive conflict resolution and negotiation training seminar utilizes role plays, assessments, exercises, group discussions and lectures to reinforce the learning process. Every facet of a negotiation – from the ability to plan effectively so as to avoid conflict to the completion and wrap-up of a negotiation – is covered. Our negotiation training program teaches participants to be prepared to handle nearly any negotiation situation they may encounter. All activities are designed to reinforce skills transfer for those who must defuse conflict, mediate difficult situations and negotiate both internally and externally.

Conflict Negotiation and Resolution training participants will learn to:
